- Complex numbers, examples of vectors and matrices
- Basic concepts of probability, examples of quantum probability, quantum states, observables, measurements, dynamics
- Classical and quantum bits, quantum gates, Multiple bits, multiple qubits, quantum entanglement, Circuits, quantum circuits, quantum supremacy
- Simple quantum algorithms
- Basic ideas of computational complexity, examples of quantum speedups, cryptography, examples of quantum cryptography, basic ideas of communication, examples of quantum communication
- Overview of quantum software and hardware industry
- Some contents may vary from year to year: discussion on latest developments in QIP, guest lectures from professionals/developers, lab tours, cloud computing experience
