Major in Physics
The Department of Physics is committed to quality education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
At the undergraduate level, the Bachelor of Science degree in Physics provides a flexible curriculum for students with different career aspirations. The rigorous academic training and research experience provide a strong foundation for students interested in further studies. At the same time, students will develop analytical skills to meet the challenge in all sectors in society, from teaching, industry, finance to government.
Application:
Major in Physics with an Extended Major in Artificial Intelligence
The program curriculum is cross-disciplinary and practical. Students will learn solid knowledge in Physics PLUS innovative application of AI in physics related areas. In addition, students will gain cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills and professional insights through a Design Thinking course and Professional Seminars in AI. The Capstone Project+, with strong AI components and sponsorship from industry, enables students to practice AI applications on real world problems. Students should expect to take approximately one additional course per term throughout four years. Upon successful completion of the program, student will be award the BSc degree in Physics with an Extended Major in Artificial Intelligence.
