Particle physics and cosmology aim to answer fundamental scientific questions about nature. How did the Universe begin and evolve? What are the basic components of matter, and how do they interact? And how will these components influence the future of the Universe? While these questions are addressed at different physical scales, from subatomic particles to the entire Universe, they could be theoretically interconnected. Advancing our understanding of these puzzles and uncovering their solutions requires strong support from experiments and observations. Research at HKUST encompasses many aspects of particle physics and cosmology, such as dark matter theory and new physics, cosmological collider,  collider and neutrino experiments, cosmological observations, etc..
