Abstract
As one of the most significant clean energy, solar energy plays a critical role to meet the challenge of the world energy crisis. However, the utilization efficiency of full spectrum solar energy is still at a relatively low level, especially for traditional solar cells due to the limitation of the natural bandgap of the semiconductor. Furthermore, the solar full spectrum utilization system composed of traditional solar cells such as Si, GaAs as well as spectroscopic system components limits its further utilization due to its high cost. Perovskite, as one of the most promising PV thin film materials, has attracted numerous attention due to its high-performance optoelectronic properties with low cost. In this thesis, I fabricated three integrated solar full spectrum energy systems based on perovskite material to gradually improve the utilization efficiency of solar full spectrum. 1. Broaden the light absorption wavelength range from 760 nm to 950 nm via fabricating the wider bandgap efficient perovskite/organic tandem solar cells to improve the efficiency of the solar spectrum utilization, compared with the single junction solar cell. 2. Broaden the light absorption wavelength range from 760 nm to 1200 nm via fabricating infrared transparent perovskite solar cells as a spectrum filter to take place of traditional optic filters and designing the perovskite/silicon two-terminal tandem Solar Cells to lift the energy efficiency further. 3. Broaden the light absorption wavelength range from 760 nm to 2500 nm via fabricating high-performance solar selective absorber and infrared transparent perovskite solar module to build double charge (heat and electric charge) solar full spectrum energy system for Li-ion battery to hugely improve Li-ion battery performance in the low-temperature environment. The results demonstrated that perovskite material can successfully improve the performance of the solar full spectra system, resulting in a great improvement in energy conversion efficiency and a reduction of cost.
