About the Speakers
Dr. George LEUNG is a Lead Data Scientist at Novo Nordisk A/S in Boston, United States. Dr. Leung began his career at Vectra AI as a Data Scientist, developing algorithms to detect and trace cyber attackers. He later joined Amazon Alexa AI as a Research Scientist, where he was responsible for maintaining the Natural Language Understanding (NLU) model behind Alexa and specialized in semi-supervised learning for NLU. In 2022, he joined Novo Nordisk, where he leads a team of data scientists and software engineers developing Generative AI and NLP solutions to accelerate the drug development process.
Dr. Leung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics in 2011 and received a Ph.D. in Physics (Computational Biophysics) from Emory University in 2017.
